According to Elzessel, this year's exhibition attracted nearly 1,000 Chinese companies to participate, more than the host Germany. This is the first time since the establishment of the exhibition that China has become the largest country in terms of exhibitors.
Elzesel said that every year at the exhibition, you can see the innovation results from Chinese photovoltaic companies. For example, Chinese PV manufacturers use less material to create solar panels with higher photoelectric conversion efficiency, thus using less installation space for the same installed capacity. "This means that we are able to install more solar equipment on a limited amount of land. The decarbonization process in Europe and around the world has benefited from innovation in the PV industry, which is largely driven by Chinese manufacturers. ”

"We need solar panels, new energy batteries, electric vehicles to transition to a cleaner energy supply and a cleaner future, and China has made a significant contribution to this."
He pointed out that many Chinese companies are also cooperating with Europe in the field of batteries, establishing production facilities in Germany, Hungary and other countries. He said that China has built a complete value chain in the PV industry from raw materials to end products, with a significant market share in Europe and even globally, and "hopes to see more cooperation [like in the battery sector] in solar as well".
The development of the global photovoltaic industry should not be restricted by any trade barriers, especially in the context of Europe's higher requirements for sustainable and localized production, and the cooperation between the two sides can help Europe achieve the goal of localized production on the one hand, and on the other hand, it can also help Chinese companies continue to deepen the European photovoltaic market. Elzesel has observed from previous exhibitions that China's photovoltaic industry products have large-scale characteristics and competitive advantages.
