The Association Group Standard Project Review Meeting (the first batch in 2023) was held in Beijing

On August 30, 2023, the China Machine Tool Industry Association (hereinafter referred to as the "Machine Tool Association" or "Association") organized a project review meeting for the association's group standard (the first batch in 2023) plan in Beijing. More than 30 people attended the meeting, including members of the Group Standards Working Committee and Secretariat of the Association, Secretary-General of the relevant National Professional Standardization Technical Committee, Secretary-General of the relevant application branch and the person in charge of the project lead unit.
Guo Changcheng, vice president of the association and chairman of the group standards working committee of the association, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. President Guo introduced the machine tool association's positive response to the national deepening standardization reform plan and other relevant documents and policy requirements, as well as the overall situation of the association's group standard work since 2017. He pointed out that the group standard should be different from the national standard, local standard and other government departments, and the association standard should highlight the forward-looking, advanced and professional nature of the standard, fill the gap in the industry, and pay attention to the application of the standard. The association advocates the establishment of product quality and service restraint mechanisms in the industry, establishes brands with standards, and avoids disorderly competition in the industry.
At the meeting, a project review expert group composed of members of the Association Group Standards Working Committee, industry experts, and the Secretary-General of the National Tools, Measuring Instruments, Abrasives, Special Processing Machine Tools, and CNC System Standardization Committee was set up, and Huang Zhenghua, Secretary of the Party Committee of General Technology Group Machine Tool Engineering Research Institute Co., Ltd. and Vice Chairman of the Association Group Standards Working Committee, served as the head of the expert group.
The meeting was presided over by Mu Donghui, Secretary-General of the Group Standards Working Committee of the Association. Secretary-General Mu introduced the association's group standard work system, evaluation principles and meeting agenda to the review panel and participants. In 2022, the secretariat received a total of 14 applications for the establishment of the association's standard plan projects submitted by 7 branches such as CNC systems, and after the preliminary review of the secretariat, communication with the branches, and the modification of the application materials by the project leader, a total of 10 application projects from 5 branches, such as CNC systems, digital display devices, and special processing machine tools, entered the project review process. However, due to the impact of the epidemic and other factors, the standard project review meeting will be postponed to 2023. The association's group standards focus on advancement, promote high-quality development and meet market demand, and play an active leading role in promoting technological progress, quality improvement, and industry self-discipline in the industry.
The standard project review link was presided over by Huang Zhenghua, the leader of the expert group, and was respectively led by Wuhan Huazhong CNC Co., Ltd., Changchun Yuheng Optical Co., Ltd., Suzhou Electric Processing Machine Tool Research Institute Co., Ltd., Zhengzhou Abrasives and Abrasives Grinding Research Institute Co., Ltd., and Yunnan Zhengchenggong Precision Machinery Co., Ltd. Five project leaders reported to the expert group the background of the declared project, the main technical content, and the leading and supporting role of the project in the development of products and industries. The members of the expert group listened to the report, questioned the declared projects one by one, made suggestions for the follow-up work, and completed all the review work in accordance with the relevant provisions of the "China Machine Tool Industry Association Group Standard Management Measures" and the "Association Group Standard Formulation Work Rules", and the project review resolution will be used as the main basis for project decision-making.
